Environmental Awareness Continues to RiseOctober 29, 2010
LEED’s Perceived Value Is Increasing. National Real Estate Investor (NREI) in its 2009 Green Building Survey polled developers and corporate executives about their familiarity with LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), their experience with it and willingness to make business decisions with LEED in mind. Their results reported that “among corporate respondents familiar with LEED, 61% said the designation is important in the site selection process, up from 45% in 2008 and 38% in 2007. A majority of both corporate and developer respondents reported that they believe LEED to be an effective system for energy savings and environmentally friendly buildings.”
Participate In The Green Building Survey. NREI, in conjunction with the U.S. Green Building Council, is currently conducting its fourth annual Green Building Survey. Corporate executives can learn more and participate in the survey by clicking here: NREI Green Building Survey.
